David Yune is a promising young violinist who has performed widely throughout the United States and Asia. He is a guest principal violinist for the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra as well as a member of the Yega Society, Notre Quartet and Arts Ensemble.

Yune also teaches at Chung-Ang University and the Gyunggi Arts High School in Seoul, Korea. Yune was awarded a gold medal for his performance at the Korean Arts Festival Music Competition in 1990. He went on to become the concert master at Chung-Ang University in both 1999 and again in 2004. He also served as concert master in 2009 for the Texas Music Festival Orchestra. Throughout his studies, Yune played with many orchestras including the Seoul Chamber Ensemble, Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra and the New York Symphony Orchestra. He performed at Carnegie Hall with the Korea Chamber Orchestra in 2007 and again in 2008 for the Praise Celebration of Milal concert. Yune has had the great fortune to perform with Chung-Ang Symphony Orchestra at the Seoul Performing Arts Center, the Danguk Dent Harmonic Orchestra,

 

 

Samsung Nano Philharmonic Orchestra, and with The Bridge String Orchestra. Yune holds a BM from Chung-Ang University, a MM from the Manhattan School of Music and a PS degree from Manhattan School of Music.

Yune has had the pleasure of studying with the talented musicians, Minjae Choi, Wooduk Lee, Lucie Robert, and Stephen Clapp.
